Research on essential oils (EOs) has garnered considerable attention across various disciplines. Investigations into the EOs of Euodia suaveolens have also been conducted by multiple researchers. The essential oils derived from E. suaveolens possess a range of bioactive properties, including antibacterial activity. The exploration of the antibacterial potential of E. suaveolens EOs is increasingly relevant in light of contemporary global challenges, particularly the escalating incidence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). EOs from E. suaveolens are typically obtained through steam distillation. However, the quality of the resulting oils frequently fails to meet established standards. Consequently, the development and application of specific extraction techniques, such as two-step distillation, are required to obtain essential oils of higher quality. This method not only enhances the purity of the oils but also increases the extraction yield. Phytochemical analyses of E. suaveolens EOs have identified several active compounds. Some of these constituents are already recognized for their beneficial roles in various aspects of human health. Conversely, other compounds identified in the EOs warrant further investigation to elucidate their potential applications.
