In an effort to address the urban landscape challenges that permeate our everyday lives, especially in the Southeast Asian Region, we are pleased to present the proceedings of the Southeast Asian Urbanisms Seminar 2.0 (SEAUS 2.0), an international conference held in Yogyakarta province, Indonesia, that brought together scholars and planning practitioners from across the region. We hope that the insights provided by the selected papers will deepen our current understanding of the issues, solutions, and practices surrounding the themes of decolonizing urban landscapes, cultural landscapes, and urban adaptations and ecologies. The discussions from this seminar are expected to offer a pathway for ongoing discourse and debate surrounding these topics in a culturally and environmentally distinct region of Southeast Asia, which remains surprisingly understudied. Lastly, we extend our sincere gratitude to all participants of SEAUS 2.0, especially the Scientific Committee members from across SEA who voluntarily provided insightful feedback on these papers. We also thank the paper presenters and participants for enabling us to further contribute to the urbanism discourse in the region, and the UAJY Press for their dedication to disseminating the findings from the selected papers to our audience.
